The Gold River is a series and exists in various formats: triptych, diptych and in single vertical panels.

The works are meditations on the sacred river and the cosmic forces flowing within the physical body.

The river is a symbol of the life force and flow. Rivers like the human life have three stages: young, mature and old.

The dimensions and the installation are coordinated to the body: the crown and the root chakras. Lines are incised with a nail in one continuous sweep and in one breath.

Gold paint is brushed in multiple directions like cross currents. A blood red is brushed into the incised lines, and then washed with gold.

The vertical triptych is spaced so the energy of the lines are not broken. Song lines, hushed and vibrant. The work alternates from a lilting gold to the dark red shadows.
